This was the second Live Art intervention at Commodi-fiction, where visitors were invited to construct and install a scaffolding on the site. As a gesture of thanks, the artist cooked and served a humble Indian meal to everyone present. The action was representative of many indigenous cultures where people come together for larger tasks (e.g. construction of someone’s house). The host usually ensures food for everyone during the work. Such an exchange of ‘labor’ is more about helping one in need, in contrast to the cold individuality of the modern world where money measures a ‘work’ irrespective of its need or contribution to humanity
