Curated and conceptualized the People’s Film Festival, Bangalore in June 2001. The non-competitive festival, supported by Alliance Francaise, Bangalore, featured several documentary films from across the country over the three days. It included panel discussions with guests that include filmmakers, film critics, writers, theatre personalities etc. M S Satyu (noted filmmaker and director of Garam Hawa), Arundhati Nag (Theatre personality), M K Raghavendra (film critic) and many other panellists supported the festival that ran to full house each day.
He followed it up with another festival that expanded its reach to South Asia with another line up of incisive documentaries from the region. This too was held at the Alliance Francaise, Bangalore in Nov-Dec 2001.
